Synopsis
In a town where the population is constantly counted using abacuses, citizens are counted as “1.” In schools, children are raised to be “counters,” and then one child discovers “0.”

Director bio
Burkay Doğan was born in Ankara in 1982 and studied Civil Engineering at Anadolu University before completing a master's degree in Cinema and Television. He made his first short film in 2006, which won the Best Experimental Film Award at the 19th Istanbul International Short Film Festival.
Since then, he has directed, produced, written and edited numerous short films, documentaries and video art projects, with his work shown at festivals and exhibitions in Turkey and internationally. His films have received several awards, including a Special Jury Award at the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival.
In 2025, his feature-length project Bilenme received the Best Script Development Award at the 62nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival Film Forum. He is currently working on new short and feature-length projects.
